Letter From the Pastor

As I sit here and think about what I want to say in this letter, all I
can think about is Max. His hair, smile, and most importantly his love
for Jesus. I was talking with some teen parents, and we were discussing
how evident it was that Max loved the Lord. I started thinking about all
the friends he brought to FourTwelve over the last 2 years. He had
brought 5 friends with him over 2 years. 5!!!!!! He wanted everyone to
come to Faith in our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

This makes me think of Mark 16:15. "And he said to them, “Go
into all the world and proclaim the gospel to the whole creation." Max
wanted to share the gospel with every person he came in contact with.
Are we doing this as followers of Jesus Christ? A popular question
we get asked when someone passes away is, “Do you think they are with
Jesus”? Only God truly knows someone’s heart, but if you see the fruit
growing that is talked about in the book of Galatians, you have proof of
change in someone’s heart.

Every part of our lives should be focused on Christ. The
excitement that we saw from Max is the same excitement we should all
have to go into all the world and share the gospel. Invite your friends to
church, share the gospel, and live a life that backs up what we all say we
believe. We can’t save anyone, but we sure can plant the seed and live a
life differently than the rest of the world. Don’t let fear paralyze us from
sharing the gospel. Be excited about what God is doing in your life and
tell others about it. Share the exciting things, the hard things, and sad
things. God is good in every situation. As followers, let’s be excited
about our Lord and Savior and show that excitement.
